Papers of Whitworth College journalism professor Alfred O. Gray mostly related to the history of Whitworth as detailed in his book Not by Might.

This collection was constructed from a copy of two journals of Martha Simonton Bell written in the years 1907- 1914. These journals are held at the Montana Historical Society, Helena, MT. Focus was the pages on the year 1913-1914 when Martha was a freshman at Whitworth College which was at that time in Tacoma, WA. Photographs from the general collection, news articles and genealogical research flesh out the collections.
