The file contains mostly the early records of Salem Lutheran Church, nee Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Salem Church of Spokane Falls, Washington Territory. Many of the records in the file are in the Swedish language. It is a genealogist’s cornucopia of names of Nordic families who migrated to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Spokane, Washington.

Records of Spokane Friends Church including especially the minutes of the Monthly Meeting. There are oral interviews of church members in the file. Establishment of the Spokane congregation, and the construction of its present worship center are especially interesting.

History, administration and congregational activities of First Presbyterian Church of Sumner, Washington with special attention to the role of George F. Whitworth in its founding (Whitworth and this church were instrumental in the establishment of Whitworth College).

Collection of records of Westminster Presbyterian Church from its start in 1905 as the Fifth Presbyterian Church up to the year 2001. Also included are the records of the various organizations and mission projects of the congregation.

The bulk of this collection consists of George Frederick Whitworth’s personal diaries along with transcriptions. There are also biographical and genealogical materials, publications and miscellaneous documents regarding G.F. Whitworth gathered from many sources.
