Historical Note
Methodism came to Waitsburg in 1860 with the coming of the Reverend George M. Berry to Washington Territory. Berry was assigned to the newly formed Walla Walla Circuit. The first church edifice was constructed in 1872. As the congregation grew, the building became too small and a new sanctuary was erected in 1906 at a cost of $15,000. A pipe organ was installed in 1958. On February 5, 1967 the congregation merged with the First Presbyterian Church of Waitsburg.
