Biographical / Historical
The Endowment and Gifts program at Whitworth College allows for the continuation of growth at Whitworth. There are two main types of gifts, current gifts and planned gifts. "Current gifts and pledges are made to the Whitworth Fund and are available for immediate use by Whitworth. Current gifts can be designated for specific purposes or for general use. Planned gifts are those for which the donor retains an interest and the charitable use by Whitworth is deferred to some future time. Common planned gifts include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance distributions, and outright gifts of cash, stock or real estate."
