Biographical / Historical
"Whitworth's athletics facilities rival any in the Northwest Conference. The Whitworth Fieldhouse was built in 1962, and facilities include a portable wood floor for basketball and volleyball, batting and pitching cages, and indoor track-and-field facilities. Also included within the Fieldhouse complex are the Dr. James P. Evans Sports Medicine/Athletic Training Center; the Whitworth Aquatics Center, and the Scotford Fitness Center. Whitworth's athletics complex also includes the Pine Bowl football facility with Boppell Track ringing its perimeter; Paul Merkel Field for baseball; the West Side Athletics Complex, which includes Diana Marks Softball Field and a complete men's and women's soccer facility; the Ross Cutter Tennis Courts; and Graves Gym."
