Biographical / Historical

The First Presbyterian Church in Wenatchee was founded on May 8, 1892 by Reverend Thos. M. Gunn. A large building and property campaign occurred in the 1990s. Beginning in 2010, the church proposed dismissal from the Presbytery of Central Washington to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. This was completed in 2012 where this collection ends.

Abstract

This collection contains the main correspondence of the church and various financial documents. Correspondence with Reverend Leslie Borsay and Reverend Frank Beattie regarding pastoral nomination and the eventual distrust of Rev. Borsay. Additionally, there are documents from the discussion of the Administrative Commission regarding dismissal from the Presbytery of Central Washington.
