Biographical / Historical
The church began on November 25, 1880 with Reverend D. G. Strong preaching the first sermon in a butcher shop. Reverend Strong decided on the location of the church, and the building was completed in June 1881. The congregation in 1882 contained nine people. In 1911, the pipe organ was installed. By 1963 there were 102 members in the congregation. The late 1980s and early 1990s, under the supervision of Reverend Kevin Dow, was the demolition of the old building and the rebuilding of the new church building.
